News bits...

* California imposes $0.629  the highest state taxes on gasoline in the country, including both a state excise tax and a sales tax, which significantly increase the price of gasoline at the pump.

* TKentucky's Mammoth Caves are among the most impressive. This sprawling network is the longest known cave system in the world, with 400 miles explored so far. There may be up to 600 miles of cave still to go...

* According to the National Interagency Fire Center, lightning caused 304 wildfires in California in 2024. In 2023, lightning strikes started 644 wildfires in California.
* Just one gallon (4.5 liters) of apple cider requires 36 apples.

* it's estimated that the nation feasts on a giant 100 acres of pizza per day

*Joe Biden administration embarked on helicopter drops of money on the economy. The Committee for a Responsible Budget recently projected that his policies "will add more than $4.8 trillion to deficits" over the next decade.

*The bald eagle became the national bird and symbol of the United States in 1782. The wingspan of a bald eagle is  usually stretches between 6 to 8 feet,some nests can get massive—up to 9 feet wide and 20 feet deep, and they can weigh over a ton! 

 October UpComing events...

October 16th- JMS- Happy  Birthday Easy ! 

 I have attached the AHBA flyer for Oct 16th through Oct 19th, 2025.  This event will offer HRD on Thursday October 16th for sheep & geese with a limit of 25 runs on each stock. Friday through Sunday will be 1 arena trial per day of Course 2 on cattle, geese and sheep.  

Also, attached is the Oct ASCA flyer for Oct 21st through Oct 26th.  This event will offer Post Advanced Cattle & Sheep on Tuesday Oct 21st, Farm Trial on Oct 22nd & 23rd and 6 arena trials on Oct 24th - 26th.

 

Please mark your calendar for Sept 15, 2025 as both of these trials open on the same day.  You may mail your entries in the same envelope.  I did this because ASCA is having their Nationals in the middle of September and wanted the ASCA opening date to be prior to people traveling to Nationals.  Due to this unusual occurrence the ASCA checks will not be deposited until after October 14th.
